Artist's Comments

Now this shot's been taken at a place, where I always wanted to go, since I saw an old foto as a child - it's been used as a pasture since 1000 years and some of the old maple trees are more than 400 years old. Some of them also are covered up to two meters caused by mudflows and are still alive. It's been such a wonderful experience, smelling the fresh autumn breeze ... just enjoying nature.

I wonder what stories those trees could tell?

I've always had an urge to take pictures next to a tree like that, while being dressed up, with friends, having a tea party!
